The Systems and Information Team in the Children’s Strategy and Improvement Service has a new vacancy for a permanent Senior Officer which will provide a great opportunity for a talented and motivated team player with experience of contributing to system strategies and providing support regarding systems utilised by the Adult’s Social Care and Children’s Services teams. The post will involve (but is not limited to) the following key tasks:

• Contribute to:
o Development of a medium term system development strategy programme to support the delivery of service objectives
o System implementation, changes and enhancements to support service improvement
o Day to day system maintenance and support including user support helpdesk, problem resolution and training
o Liaison with system software suppliers and the co-ordination and negotiation of contracts
o Management of system replacement projects including data migration
o Provision of operational management information and data
o Completion of external statutory data returns
o Managing the team to deliver a professional service supporting their training and development needs and undertake such personal training as may be deemed necessary to meet the duties and responsibilities of the post.
o Contribute to managing budgets and the achievement of financial objectives

This post has been identified as suitable for flexible working which enables the postholder to work 40% of their working time away from the office.
