Further Information
We have an existing opportunity to join our management team in Newcastle City Council’s Community Hubs and Libraries Service.

Our Service Delivery Specialists manage one of four library services: Customer Services & Complaints, Heritage, Information & Access and Reading and have responsibility for projects, service development, line management and library buildings within our network.

We are looking to appoint someone to lead our Reading Team with responsibility for reader development (children, young people and adults), programme delivery, (including the Summer Reading Challenge), reading groups, holiday activities, fiction stock and working with schools.

You will have line management responsibility for various colleagues and will support our Service Development Manager with implementing new services and ways of working.

The successful candidate will have experience of managing and delivering customer focussed services, have experience of leading a team and should be able to demonstrate a detailed understanding of the key principles of delivering and developing excellent public services.

This role will involve agile working across our network of buildings and from home.

For full details of the required criteria please see the Person Specification.
