Further Information
Horizons Specialist Academy Trust consists of six academies and one Sixth Form across Stockton-on-Tees, Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland serving a population in excess of 600 students aged 5 to 19 with a broad range of learning/SEMH difficulties.

HSAT is a major provider of school education and related services to pupils and students with special educational needs in the North East of England. As such, we intend to develop innovative resources and practices in keeping with our aim of being recognized as a Leading Edge provider in the area of special educational needs.

Due to the recent expansion of the Trust, we are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and experienced Governance Clerk to play a key role in supporting the Trust’s Governance Operations Manager in providing high quality, accurate and timely minutes for Board and Academy Council Meetings.

Although meeting dates are set well in advance and are usually during the school day, there may be some limited unsociable hours in circumstances where meetings have been re-arranged towards the end of the school day and therefore the post holder must be prepared to work flexibly. This role involves working across the Trust and the post will primarily be based at Abbey Hill Academy.

The successful applicant will be extremely organised, accurate and reliable with knowledge in local and national governance as well as relevant educational, procedural and legislative matters.

Application forms and further information is available on the Horizons Trust website: https://www.horizonstrust.org.uk/jobs

Completed application forms should be returned by 12 noon on Friday, 8th July by email to julie.povall@horizonstrust.org.uk or by post to the Trust’s Registered Office at Abbey Hill Academy, Ketton Road, Hardwick, Stockton-on-Tees. TS19 8BU.

Horizons Specialist Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory Enhances DBS check, appropriate references and a six-month probationary period.
