We are looking for an experienced and motivated digital communications professional with a proven understanding of the WCAG Public Sector Accessibility Guidelines and a strong public sector ethos to deliver and grow the Council’s digital marketing presence.

With responsibility for the quality assurance of content published on the Council website, you will work closely with the multi-disciplinary communications team to provide user journey and accessibility advice.

As well as delivering and further developing the Council’s existing digital marketing tools such as the My Council e-newsletter, this is an exciting opportunity to research and propose new and innovate ways of engaging with staff, residents, businesses and other stakeholders through digital communications.

This post has been identified as suitable for flexible working which enables the postholder to work 60% of their working time away from the office.

• A competitive salary of up to £30,984. There is a pay award currently being negotiated and the Employer’s offer is an additional £1,925 per annum.
• Flexible Working arrangements –working onsite at our main office in central Stockton, at our other Council buildings within the borough (where appropriate), and the ability to work some of your time from home.
• 26 days annual leave per year rising to 31 with 5 years service. Ability to purchase additional leave is also available.
