The Virtual School would like to appoint an Education Development Adviser to lead on the Virtual School Extended Duties.

The person appointed would work as part of the Virtual School Team to champion the educational needs of children with a social worker and promote their education and educational outcomes.

Candidates should be fully committed to supporting the educational outcomes and emotional wellbeing of the children in our care and those with a social worker and have the necessary skills and knowledge to be able to be the educational advocate.

An Education Development Advisor will have the ability to work strategically with all agencies and relevant partners, particularly schools, to ensure that this cohort receive the best possible opportunities to reach their maximum educational potential through
• A culture of high aspirations
• Monitoring and evaluation of data
• Ensuring that the relevant statutory guidance is followed
• Working strategically with schools to enhance partnerships and strengthen relationships

This is an exciting opportunity for a person who would like to work as part of an innovative team, and importantly, work passionately to support children and young people within the Virtual School.

Please note this is initially a fixed term post for 2 years.

This post has been identified as suitable for flexible working which enables the post holder to work 60% of their working time away from the office.
