Job Description:

An opportunity is now available to join the staff of our popular and high achieving 11-16 Church of England Academy. All Saints opened as a new build school in September 2003 with an intended capacity of 600 students. In 2017 Governors commenced the expansion of our student intake from 120 to 150 each year to achieve a revised net capacity of 750. This has been revised further to allow for expansion to a net capacity of 900, this commenced in September 2019.

We are currently seeking to appoint a suitably experienced Level One Teaching Assistant who has the drive, enthusiasm and ability to support the learning of students with additional special educational needs in the academy, under the supervision of the Learning Support Manager and our SEND Co-ordinator.

Your duties will include providing assistance for a male student with everyday life from personal hygiene/intimate care as and when required, such as support with using bathroom facilities and changing clothes.

Due to the responsibilities highlighted above it may be that - "Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010."

Training and professional development opportunities will be available, including access to accredited qualifications as appropriate
