Working in Strategic Partnership with Stockton-on-Tees borough council, you will lead on the delivery of family outreach support, community engagement and volunteering within the 0-19 offer. We are looking for a passionate and resilient individual, with direct practice experience, to manage Family Action’s Family Outreach and Volunteering Service. You will lead a team to ensure that children, young people and families are able to get the right support at the right time in line with local priorities across the 0-19 age range and have a clear commitment to working in a one team approach.
Your skills
You will have a strong track record in service delivery and a focus on quality of practice, be performance driven, confident with safeguarding and management controls. With a client-facing approach you will be passionate about engaging our service users in all aspects of our work including co-production. We want to hire a ‘can-do’ and energetic leader who will build and sustain positive working relationships with key commissioners and future funders, while developing partnerships that will continue to evolve and effectively meet the needs of everyone the service supports.
You will have experience in managing and leading a team of staff and volunteers; have proven knowledge of evidenced based interventions and outcome focused work with families alongside robust safeguarding and risk management experience. You will need enthusiasm and commitment to work in a dynamic way that promotes effective multi-agency relationships.
The post will involve working across the locality of Stockton-On-Tees. You must have access to a vehicle for business purposes and be able to travel frequently, with the expectation you will work collaboratively with Family Action and key delivery partners across the North Region of the country.
