‘Pupils behave well. Staff and pupils get on well’ - Ofsted, February 2023

Northfield School is a large 11-16 school and specialist sports college. We are an ambitious and inclusive school with state of the art facilities and interactive technology in a well-resourced newly refurbished main building and a separate new Year 7 school.

Following an inspection in February 2023, Ofsted judged the school to be good in all areas. Results in the summer continued the upward trend. This is a great time to join our school.

We are looking to appoint a positive, flexible, proactive and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant. The successful candidate will be a patient and caring individual who can provide effective enhanced support to Visually Impaired pupils, with a strong emphasis on developing pupil confidence and promoting independent learning. Experience of working with young people with a visual impairment and/or an ability to communicate using braille would be an advantage; however is not a requirement for the role.

We can offer you:
• an enthusiastic, talented and supportive team
• a newly built and superbly resourced teaching and learning environment
• excellent opportunities for CPD
• a staff health and well being programme
• a warm, friendly and positive working environment where everyone is valued

An official application form and further details are available on our web page www.northfieldssc.org and should be returned to HR@northfieldssc.org

Alternatively, applications are also accepted by post (FAO Catherine Frost). NB: we do not accept CVs.

Visits to the school are welcome by appointment; please call Catherine Frost on 01642 557373 or email HR@northfieldssc.org

Closing date: FRIDAY 29TH SEPTEMBER 2023, 12 NOON

The school is committed to safer recruitment practice and pre-employment checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed. The posts are subject to enhanced disbarring bureau service disclosure.
