Look no further! We have a fantastic opportunity for a Roadworker in the Highways and Street Lighting team.

The role will be responsible for the erection and removal of appropriate traffic signs and barriers, the location and avoidance of underground service apparatus during excavation works, the preparation, application, compaction and removal of soils, rocks, coated and other materials, works on highways street furniture and equipment, highway footpath schemes and maintenance including paving, kerbing, bitmac and street furniture.

The role will involve driving to sites across the borough therefore a full driving licence is essential.

Working overtime, weekends and winter maintenance is often a requirement due to operational demands and pressures, this is an important part of the Highway service and the ability to be on call and work outside normal working hours in line with operational needs is crucial. (Training and payment for this will be provided).
