About the Role:

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated Principal Occupational Therapist, with strategic accountability for our Independent Living Service comprising Occupational Therapy Team, Disability Housing Team and Community Equipment Service promoting and governing strengths-based practice and developing excellent services. 
 
Working closely with the Service Manager for Independent Living, this is a unique opportunity to help define our future journey and lead the service through an ongoing period of change and service improvement, whilst ensuring every member of the team is working towards our shared vision for Adult Social Care.
 
Working collaboratively with multiple services, including hospital-based colleagues and neighbourhood teams you will put measures in place to ensure the service is well led and meets practice standards. You will apply your extensive knowledge and skills to ensure people with highly complex health and social work needs are supported, promoting a personalised approach, reducing risk and focusing on the well-being and prevention agendas.
 
About You:

As a qualified and registered Occupational Therapist, you will have a passion to lead person centred strengths-based practice, drive opportunities for innovation and promote and develop best practice within the Independent Living Service. 
 
Having significant leadership experience, you will want to work for a service that believes that people are at their healthiest and happiest when they are supported to remain independent, close to the people they love, in the neighbourhoods and communities they call home.
