Business Development as a team contribute to the success of the whole organisation, working collaboratively with partners across the business and stakeholders in the wider region utilising data and insights to support decision making, develop business cases to secure funding and write strategy and policy to steer our overall objectives.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with the wider Corporate Planning team to support Nexus vision and objectives.
Typical Day
- Utilising data and insights to develop transport and organisational strategies
- Translate data and insights for the wider organisation
- Develop business cases and funding bids, to TAG standards where applicable, for investment in Nexus’ priorities
- Drive innovation and change activities to support the wider organisations vision and values
- Liaise with regional partners to deliver projects, develop strategies and align plans with regional objectives
- Champion diversity and inclusion across the organisation
- Provide coaching and mentoring for the business development team
- Work with colleagues across the organisation to develop feasibility studies and option appraisals to support business cases

You will join a diverse team who are passionate about making a difference to public transport within the region. The role will lead a team of Corporate Planning Associates, Business Development Officers and Accessibility and Inclusion Officer. You will work closely with colleagues across Corporate Planning and the wider organisation. - This is a Monday to Friday job
- You’ll work a 36-hour week
- You'll have the option to work a minimum of 60% of your working week in the office and the rest at home
