Hartlepool Borough Council are looking to appoint a hardworking, reliable and enthusiastic person as a Refuse Operative (Bulky Waste) for 18.5hpw.
Must have a full driving licence
The role is varied and will include driving a 3.5t vehicle as well as loading and labouring.
Duties will include:removing bulky furniture from households and commercial properties,
- the delivery and picking up of wheeled bins to households and commercial properties and repairing damaged bins both onsite and at the Council’s depot.
- collection of confidential waste from both internal and external customers
- quoting of waste removal jobs and providing accurate information back to our office-based teamsThis role can be a sole operative role but on larger, heavier jobs two men will be sent in accordance with the safe manual handling practices
