Are you enthusiastic about health, fitness, and wellbeing? Would you like to join an existing team of leisure professionals to help support our Active Hartlepool customers to be more active? We have just the opportunity for you!
We are looking to employ Level 2 swimming instructors to work at Highlight Active Wellbeing Hub.
Active Hartlepool currently operates Mill House Leisure Centre, Headland Sports Centre, Brierton Sports Centre and Summerhill Country Park. With our new active wellbeing hub, Highlight, set to open in early 2026. It is an exciting time to be joining the Active Hartlepool team!
What is the job?
You’ll be working within Highlight Active Wellbeing Hub to support with the delivery of the Active Hartlepool’s school swimming and water safety programme.
Our swimming instructors play an important role in supporting the Active Hartlepool service to improve people’s lives through physical activity.
What do I need?
To be a success in the role we require the following from you:
· A passion for helping others through physical activity
· Hold a Level 2 Swim Teacher qualification
· Hold an R.L.S.S national pool lifeguard qualification.
· Enthusiastic and able to promote the Active Hartlepool service
· An appetite to train and develop to be a multi skilled member of staff
· To be a team player who is not afraid to try something new
· An ability to effectively communicate with people from all walks of life
