Newcastle City Council is seeking to appoint an experienced individual to the role of Housing Capital Programme Team Manager. This is critical role for housing investment across the city. We’re looking for someone with strong interpersonal, leadership and strategy skills to lead on the delivery of housing investment strategy and investment delivery projects across the city, in line with the Council’s Housing Delivery Plan.

The post holder will have a commercial outlook and will manage the housing investment portfolio that includes, delivering affordable homes, investment in existing homes, disabled adaptations and our climate change investment in housing. The successful individual will lead on a range of complex and often innovative programmes and projects.

Applications are sought people who have the gravitas and depth of experience to work alongside our leadership team to develop innovative solution to complex housing issues. They will have particular expertise in leading and delivering major housing or regeneration programmes; or similar capital investment programmes.

The post holder will also support the delivery of housing policy and the wider work of the Fairer Housing Unit.

The role is challenging and varied, and the post holder will need to be flexible and be able to prioritise their workload to meet conflicting deadlines.
