3 permanent post Full time 37 hours a week, and 2 full time fixed term posts for 12 months.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Operational Estate Management Team as a Senior Technician in the new formed Estates Safety Team. This team will provide a key role in the management of a range of Health, Safety, and Compliance information on a variety of operational and commercial property on behalf of the City Council.

You will be responsible for carrying out regular compliance and safety checks on the councils' portfolios of buildings.

The role will be to deliver an audit program, ensuring appointments are kept and your portfolio of buildings are regularly visited. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the compliance data is recorded accurately and reported regularly.

Working in compliance and Health and Safety of buildings you will be expected to keep abreast of any changes to the relevant Health and Safety legislation in relation to the management of premises and training opportunities will be provided. The role will need to pay special attention to some key risks of managing buildings including The Management of Asbestos, Gas safety, Water hygiene, electrical/electronic safety systems and Fire risk assessments.

Applicants must have recent and relevant experience in health and safety within a Facilities Management or Estates and Property role. You will have experience of carrying out Health and Safety surveys, inspections or audits in buildings. You will be confident in dealing with other officers within the organisation, as well as client's representatives, tenants, and other stakeholders.
