32.5 HOURS PER WEEK, TERM TIME ONLY
FIXED TERM TO 31ST AUGUST 2024 WITH A VIEW TO BECOMING PERMANENT

Required by 1st September 2023 or sooner if possible.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated support assistant to work in our well established and successful Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision named ‘The Nest’. The Nest is a bespoke, purposely designed educational provision within our mainstream school and is designed to meet the needs of learners with a high level of SEND.

We are looking for a support assistant who:
> Has experience of working in the Early Years Foundation Stage and/or Key Stage One.
> Has experience of working with children with a range of SEND.
> Has some experience of delivering SEND interventions such as Box Time, Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy. (Not essential).
> Has some experience of liaising with SEND professionals such as Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists. (Not essential).
> Is able to work closely with the Nest Leader and the SENDCO to ensure the highest quality of teaching and learning is being provided to the pupils.
> Has experience of working as an effective member of a team.
> Has a working knowledge of good practice related to SEND and a willingness to keep this knowledge up to date with regular CPD
> Has high aspirations for all children and is committed to enabling them to achieve their full potential.
