A unique position has arisen for a motivated individual to join our team over the coming academic year.

The Governing Body and Head Teacher seek to appoint an experienced classroom teacher to work within our school as we strive for ‘Excellence for All’ – for pupils, for staff & for parents.

The successful applicant will be a highly effective and motivated classroom practitioner who is committed to raising standards of education for the children in their care.

We are seeking to appoint a teacher who:
• has a thorough knowledge of the primary curriculum so as to deliver meaningful and enjoyable learning experiences.
• Focus on the education and well-being of a small group of year 6 pupils for 4 days per week
• Work as a whole class teacher for one day
• Has experience of supporting pupils with SEND
• A great team player
The role, as described, would not support progression through ECT standards, but M1 – M6 teachers are invited to apply.

Visits to the school are welcome and can be arranged by contacting the school office.

South Tyneside Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure will be sought along with other relevant pre-employment checks.

In line with the guidance in Keeping Children Safe in Education, schools may carry out an online search as part of their due diligence on shortlisted candidates.
