Start Date: 1 September 2023

An opportunity has arisen for us to offer a temporary teaching post to be based in one of our two schools – Farne Primary or Cheviot Primary. We are seeking to recruit a Teacher to join our talented, committed team. The schools have Academy status as part of the eight schools within the Smart Multi-Academy Trust, which is committed to providing the highest quality support for teaching and learning; the employer will be the Trust.

Both Cheviot and Farne Primary School are vibrant, warm and welcoming places. The successful candidate will join a dedicated, hardworking team who are committed to raising standards throughout the school whilst maintaining a broad, balanced and creative curriculum. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and dedicated Teacher to join our growing team.

Candidates should be enthusiastic, hardworking practitioners who are committed to raising standards and who will be able to contribute to the future success of the school and the wider Trust. Applications are encouraged from those able to offer music PE subject leadership across the school.

Our ideal candidates can offer us:
• A passion for making a transformational difference to the lives of children
• The ability to plan stimulating, relevant and challenging learning that is memorable
• Professional reflection on children’s learning and their teaching
• Collaborative working skills
• The highest expectation of themselves and all children

In return, we can offer:
• A highly skilled, creative, committed and supportive staff team
• Strong partnerships with parents and other schools within the Academy Trust
• Personalised CPD and bespoke training opportunities
• Exceptional pupils
• A supportive, thriving Local Governing Board

The Trust is strongly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be required to obtain an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the DBS and a range of other recruitment checks. As this post involves working with children and dealing with sensitive information, written references will be taken up and made available to interviewers before the final selection stage, even if you indicate otherwise. Any offer of employment will be conditional to all relevant checks. We are fully committed to ensuring that consistent effective safeguarding procedures are in place to support families, children and staff at school.

To apply, please download an application pack from our school websites at either www.cheviot.smartacademies.net, www.farne.smartacademies.net or the Smart MAT website www.smartacademies.net
