An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Horton Grange Primary School. A three form entry school with 52 place nursery located on the north western edge of Blyth on the Northumberland coast, only 15 minutes from Newcastle upon Tyne. The school was inspected in 2023 and was graded outstanding in every area.

We are looking for an individual with a passion for primary education and a high degree of skill. You will be a team player, capable of modelling excellent practice and of driving forward improvement.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an excellent and highly motivated part time class based (Key Stage 1) SEND leader to join our team at Horton Grange. At Horton Grange we work hard to be the best we can be. We have high expectations of adults and children alike. We support and challenge each other to aim high and achieve our goals, underpinned by ongoing professional development.

Whilst being a part time class based, you will be children focused and work across classes and with groups of children to accelerate progress and achieve the best quality outcomes. You will ensure excellent provision and intervention in a mainstream environment that supports all. You will work alongside phase leaders and class teachers to ensure high quality provision for SEND pupils across the curriculum, as well as co-ordinating individual education plans and leading on necessary interventions to ensure outstanding pupil progress and narrowing the gap for groups of children.

We are looking to appoint a dynamic individual with a flexible approach who can help to lead our school through the national SEN changes.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced criminal records check is required for this post.

An application pack, including an application form, is available to download below.

Completed application forms should be returned directly to the school by post and/or by e-mail, no later than midday on Wednesday 1st May 2024.

There will be an opportunity to look around the school on Wednesday 24th April at 2pm, please contact the school to inform us if you wish to do this.

If you email your application, please ring the school to check that it has been received.
