Burnside Primary School is seeking to employ a School Business Manager to become a part of our vibrant team due to the retirement of our current Business Manager. We are a school community that values dedication and support, always placing the educational needs of our pupils at the forefront.

The Role

As a School Business Manager, you will be integral to our operations, ensuring the smooth running of the school’s various administrative and financial aspects. Your role will be varied and dynamic, encompassing:

· Financial Management: Overseeing finance and accounting procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.

· Site Management: Managing maintenance activities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for learning.

· HR and Payroll: Effectively administering HR processes and payroll systems.

· Safeguarding: Managing the schools single central record and ensuring all adults who enter the school building have the required paperwork and clearances.

· Office Administration: Handling day-to-day administrative tasks with precision.

· Leadership: Collaborating closely with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership, and Governing Body.

· Communication: Engaging professionally with all members of the school community.

· Strong Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.

· Enthusiastic and Friendly Approach: A positive attitude that resonates throughout our school.

· Experience and Expertise: Proven skills in finance, accounting, office administration, site management, HR/payroll, and team management.

· Qualifications: Relevant qualifications that support your application.

· Leadership Skills: Strong leadership capabilities to guide and inspire our team.

· Knowledge of School Systems: Familiarity with school-based systems is an advantage.

· Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Commitment to Safeguarding: A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
