The Keeping Families Connected service works intensively with children and their families and is aligned to the Safe and Supported Social work teams.

• Stabilise placements at risk of disruption and an escalation in placement costs.
• Return Children and young people from care when it is safe to do so.
The Keeping Families Connected service is multi-disciplinary and uses a Trauma informed approach and Clinical formulation to identify work to be undertaken. The service works intensively for a period of up to 16 weeks and offers 7 day a week provision to meet the needs of the child and family.
We are looking for highly motivated worker that has a proven track record in achieving excellent outcomes for children and families to join the team and assist in the continued growth of the service.
The service was assessed by Ofsted in 2025 – OFSTED said “Exceptionally strong practice was seen by inspectors in the keeping families connected service. This service works effectively and successfully with children and families in helping to maintain or reunite children with their birth families safely and appropriately. This provision of support is proportionate to the needs of families and is helping to safely prevent many children entering care.”
