The roles are for both permanent and fixed term positions and are based in extremely busy front-line services, providing support to the Social Work Teams.
The duties include dealing with phone and email enquiries, the provision of high levels of customer service, data collection and maintenance of spreadsheets, excellent organisational, delegation, planning and time management skills.
All roles including elements of minute taking, undertaking data quality and administrative tasks such as processing and uploading contacts and referrals within our Eclipse Social Care System, along with some elements of financial processes.
The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills and be able to work both independently and within a team environment.
The roles involve the ability to multitask, deal with challenging situations, ability to work to strict timescales, and manage competing demands and priorities throughout the working day. Where possible, candidates should also have experience of coaching and mentoring and the ability to advice and guide colleagues.
If you are an enthusiastic team player and committed to providing an excellent customer focussed service, we would welcome your application. You will need to demonstrate that you meet the essential criteria listed in the person specification and give relevant examples of how you meet these criteria within your application form.
As a result of an increase in the current workload and a review of the existing structure, we have the following posts available:
- Two permanent positions within our newly introduced ROTH (Risk Outside the Home) team. These positions are newly financed, and as a team of two, the newly appointed officers will have the exciting opportunity for being responsible for implementing and developing the services processes.
- One permanent position to be based within our IRS (Initial Response Service) team. This is an extremely busy frontline service supporting our MASH/Triage Teams, and you will be one in a team of eight SBSO’s providing a consistent Service to six Social Work Teams
- One six-month fixed term position supporting a Social Work Team withing Long Term. You will work independently providing dedicated support to one Social Work Team directly of around eight Social Workers, but also you will be based within a Team of six other SBSO’s, providing a coordinated Business Support Service to eight Social Work Teams.
- One six-month fixed term position in CWD, working alongside a second SBSO supporting two social worker teams of twenty staff, consisting of Social Workers and Family Help Workers. This is like the long-term role; however, it involves key coordination and collaboration with the second officer to ensure all priority tasks are met on a consistent basis.
- One six-month fixed term position to support Families First and IRS. This position is also a newly introduced role with opportunities to be further developed, with the successful applicant being able to apply their own personal influence into the role, once the service area becomes established.
