About the Role
The team is responsible for developing Redcar and Cleveland into an all-year-round visitor destination and the delivery of a vibrant and exciting cultural events programme.
Your role will be part of the Museums operational and visitor facing team, no two days will be the same! You will gain valuable work experience whilst building your confidence to supporting and deliver the following duties:
- meeting and greeting visitors and visitor engagement,
- public enquires including general administration and clerking duties,
- monitoring records and data bases including maintaining mailing lists,
- undertaking consumer and market research,
- carry out all aspects of retail operations,
- invigilate fixed and mobile exhibitions ensuring that both visitors and exhibits are safe and secure.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working, positive individual who is self-motivated and able to work using their own initiative as well as being a team player. The successful candidate will be committed to providing an excellent service in a professional manner and will be willing to learn and develop their knowledge and will be part of a team rota which includes working weekends and Bank Holidays.

About the Apprenticeship

The Level 2 Apprenticeship in Customer Service Practitioner will commence soon after you join the Council for a duration of 15 months and will be delivered at Redcar and Cleveland College where you will attend day release training.
