NorthumberlandFire and RescueServiceis currently seekingapplications for a Crew Manager vacancy within Fire Control.
On conclusion of the process,a holding pool willalsobecreated to supportbothcareer progression andtheanticipatedretirement profilein our control roomover the next12-24months.
Northumberland is the northernmost county of England, bordering Cumbria, County Durham, Tyne and Wear and the Scottish Borders. Weinviteapplications from competentcontrol Firefightersandcompetent control Crew Managers.Those who are competent Crew Managers within another fire and rescue servicewill be welcomed as inter-service transferees with no requirement to doadditionaltraining.Successfulapplicants willbe requiredto complete conversion training to ensure familiarity and understanding of NFRS processes.
The successful candidatewill be expected to promote andmaintaina positive relationship with all employees and their respective trade unions in the interests of developing a climate of harmonious and constructive employee relations.

Essential criteria for the role
Eligibility:
- You must be a competent Fire Control operativeat either Firefighter or Crew Manager level, currently employed in a UKFRS.
- No outstanding ‘unspent' disciplinary warnings.
Selection Process:
Theselection process will be undertakenin accordance withworkforce and succession planning requirements.
Yourapplicationwill be reviewed and if you meettheeligibilitycriteria, youwill thenprogress to the next stageofthe process.
