We are looking for an Income Management Team Leader to lead and develop the Income Management Team, ensuring income is accurately recorded, allocated and reconciled while maintaining strong financial controls and providing an excellent service to both internal and external customers.
This is a key role within Financial Services, responsible for supporting North Tyneside Council's financial resilience by ensuring income is managed efficiently, risks are controlled, and processes continue to meet changing business needs.
The successful candidate
We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual with strong leadership skills and a proven ability to support, and develop teams to deliver excellent customer-focused services.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience working within an Income Management, Finance, or similar environment, with a good understanding of income collection processes and financial management principles. Knowledge of income and financial management systems, together with an understanding of Financial Regulations, particularly within the public sector, would be advantageous.
You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships, manage performance, and confidently deal with internal and external customers. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential for success in this role.
