South Tyneside Council is looking for passionate and highly motivated individuals who are committed to improving outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
Our Assisted Travel Team plays a critical role in ensuring that children and young people with SEND receive the appropriate travel assistance based on eligibility.
As a SEND Travel Needs Assessment Officer you will provide administrative and clerical support to the SEND Access and Travel Officer, and work towards the objectives of the team and the wider Strategic Group. The post holder will liaise with key stakeholders, internal and externally, to provide independent and impartial advice on transport needs assessments, and the availability and provision of assisted transport services to meet assessed needs
