Look no further! We have a fantastic opportunity for a Support Worker to join our team here at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
About the role
The service is responsible for supporting adults with learning disabilities to access activities that are engaging and developmental within a day service setting.
In the role of support worker, you will be expected to support adults with learning disabilities to take part in a wide range of activities based within the building and in the community. These activities include:
Cooking
Arts & crafts
Sports & games
Music
Computer skills
Newsletters
Swimming & gym
Plus much more!
About you
We're looking for someone who:
Has a caring, positive and person-centred approach to supporting others.
Has experience in supporting people in social care settings.
Has good communication skills and enjoys working as part of a team.
Is reliable, flexible and able to use their initiative.
Can maintain accurate records and follow support plans.
Understands supporting adults with learning disabilities.
Ideally has Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
