Personal Advisor (Separated Migrant Care Experienced Young People)
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of separated migrant care experienced young people?
Do you want to empower and support young people as they build a new life, develop independence, and achieve their aspirations?
Are you skilled at building trusting relationships and communicating effectively with young people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds?
We're looking to recruit a dedicated Personal Advisor to join our team supporting separated migrant care experienced young people. Our service is committed to continuous improvement and excellence, and we're seeking an energetic, positive, and solution-focused individual who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers and thrive.
We are looking for an experienced team member who can demonstrate commitment, empathy, and resilience, alongside transferable skills such as problem-solving, risk awareness, effective communication, accurate record keeping, partnership working, and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with young people.
In this role, you'll work closely with separated migrant care experienced young people aged 17 to 25, supporting them as they move towards adulthood and independence. Many of the young people you will work with have arrived in the UK without parents or carers and may be adjusting to a new culture, language, education system, and community, whilst also navigating immigration processes.
You will manage a caseload of young people, providing practical and emotional support, promoting their voice and aspirations, and helping them access opportunities in education, employment, training, health, housing, and community integration. Working alongside partner agencies, you will play a vital role in ensuring young people feel safe, supported, and empowered to achieve positive outcomes.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people, helping them build confidence, develop independence, and create positive futures.
If you're passionate about supporting care experienced young people and championing the needs of separated migrant young people, we'd love to hear from you.
