Further Information
At Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, we believe every child and family deserves the opportunity to feel safe and be loved.

Our in-house children’s homes play a vital role in making that happen, and we are excited to welcome new Hub Portfolio lead to our team.

If you are passionate about making a real difference, this is your chance to directly support children and young people in one of our nurturing and dedicated homes across Redcar and Cleveland.

We are committed to continually improving our practice and outcomes—and you will be at the heart of this. In this role, you’ll offer the guidance, stability, and encouragement young people need to achieve their full potential. It’s a challenging role at times, but also incredibly rewarding, and perfect for someone who is flexible, resilient, empathetic, and driven by a desire to help others grow.

We care deeply about our children—and just as much about our staff.

You’ll be joining a supportive, passionate team that pulls together, looks after each other, and shares a genuine commitment to doing the right thing. Your skills, compassion, and dedication will help shape brighter futures and build lasting, positive change for young people who need it most.

As a Hub portfolio lead, you will form trusted relationships with young people, working on a 24/7 rota to provide consistency and care.

You’ll help them develop essential life skills, build confidence, and navigate challenges—playing a central role in their journey toward independence and improved wellbeing.

Our Portfolio Leads have a designated focus from the Hub’s Core Offer; these will be rotated periodically to ensure role development.
Portfolio Lead areas are:
  • High risk behaviours and risk management
  • Rebuilding relationships
  • Accommodation and life stage transitions
  • Education and training
  • Resilience, self-esteem and activities
  • Emotional and physical health and wellbeing

Hub Portfolio Leads will drive action planning, interventions and case progress for young people through effective communication with a range of professionals working together to improve outcomes for young people.

This isn’t just a job—it's a chance to transform lives.
If you want to be part of something meaningful and join a team that truly values you, we’d love to hear from you.
