This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the North East’s highest achieving schools; our motto ‘Excellence for All’ is at the heart of our work. We have a strong focus on developing all our students; personally and academically.

Based in a stunning coastal location, we are rightly proud of the opportunities we offer for students and staff. Our ethos as an Anglican academy is entirely inclusive and no faith based pupil admission criteria are applied. Our motto of ‘Excellence for all’ is a living reality of day to day life at Whitburn.

We require two Inclusion Support Assistants to join our Pastoral Team. Each ISA will work under the direction of a Pastoral Year Leader in supporting student’s wellbeing and conduct in their year group. The successful applicants will have experience of working with young people and their families, be able to de escalate situations and have the ability to communicate effectively with parents / carers.

This is a fast paced job in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will have a natural empathy and warmth towards young people, whilst being able to remain authoritative and consistent with school policy and procedures.
