We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and committed Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our fantastic Early Years team at Ponteland Community Primary School.
Our Early Years provision welcomes children from 9 months old through to school age, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for providing children with the very best possible start. - The Role
- We are looking for a practitioner who is warm, nurturing and enthusiastic about working with
- young children.
- You will work as part of our established Early Years team, supporting children's learning,
- development, care and wellbeing within our year-round nursery provision.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Have GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent
- Have a genuine passion for working with babies and young children
- Understand the importance of high-quality interactions, play and early learning
- Be able to build positive and nurturing relationships with children
- Work eLectively as part of a busy and supportive team
- Develop strong relationships with parents and carers
- Have high expectations for children's care, learning and development
- Be flexible, reliable and willing to contribute to all aspects of nursery life
- Share our commitment to providing an exciting, happy and stimulating environment for every child
- Experience of working within an Early Years setting would be welcomed.
Hours and Working Pattern
- This is a year-round position, with our nursery operating throughout the year apart from a two week closure over Christmas.
- We are looking for someone able to work a minimum of 25 hours per week, with the potential for a working pattern of up to 40 hours per week.
- Our nursery is open from 7:30am until 6:00pm, and working hours will be arranged on a rota within these times.
