The School and Role

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated and nurturing Reception Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Newcastle upon Tyne on a part-time basis, working Thursday to Friday.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and creative teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You will play a vital role in supporting children through this important stage of their education, helping them to develop confidence, independence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

The successful candidate will create a stimulating, inclusive and engaging classroom environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. Working as part of a collaborative and experienced staff team, you will plan and deliver exciting, child-centred learning opportunities that support children's academic, social and emotional development.


Requirements:

The successful Teacher will have:
 
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching in EYFS
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and assessment
  • Create an engaging, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Work as part of a collaborative and caring team
  • Show enthusiasm, creativity and excellent classroom management skills
