Help families learn, grow and thrive

Pioneering Care Partnership is looking for inspiring and compassionate Community Learning Tutors to help deliver our new Family Learning programme across County Durham and Sunderland.

Launched in September 2026, the Family Learning programme supports parents, carers and those with parental responsibility for pre-school and primary school-age children to build essential numeracy, literacy and digital skills, while improving outcomes for children and families. Delivered as part of a consortium led by Thriving Together Northumberland, the programme will offer flexible learning in schools and community settings.

About the role

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who can make learning feel accessible, enjoyable and meaningful. You will plan and deliver inclusive, engaging sessions for adults and families, helping learners build confidence in areas such as numeracy, literacy, digital literacy, wellbeing and creative learning.

About you

We are looking for tutors who can bring energy, warmth and creativity to adult and family learning. They will be confident delivering learning that is practical, inclusive and engaging, and will understand the difference that supportive education can make to families facing barriers.

You will need:

  • A Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training, or equivalent
  • Level 2 numeracy and literacy qualifications
  • Knowledge of the EYFS and Primary school curriculum
  • The ability to enthuse learners and inspire curiosity through innovative delivery
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport
  • Experience of supporting adults facing multiple barriers to learning

This role is a chance to make a real difference in local communities by helping families discover the confidence, skills and motivation to learn together. If you are supportive, creative and passionate about inclusive learning, we would love to hear from you.
