Are you looking for a once-in-a-career opportunity? Do you have a genuine desire to create something extraordinary for the children in our care? If so, Lynnfield Primary School may just be looking for you…

Lynnfield is at a very exciting point in its history. In 2025 we joined Lingfield Education Trust and are now looking for our perfect Deputy Headteacher to work alongside our experienced Executive Headteacher.

This is a key appointment for the school. As the school’s new deputy headteacher, you and the wider senior leadership team will lead the school into its next stage of development – and success! Your practice, ethos and approach to school life will shape the lives of our children and the school that we are building.

As such, it is key that:
  • You are an excellent teacher and role model to other staff – you will be responsible for teaching and learning across the school
  • You can lead others – you will be responsible for leading a team of phase SENDCos
  • You are kind. You lead by example and will embody our school motto: ‘Nurturing hearts, Inspiring minds: Changing futures.’
  • You are committed to a team approach – working hard together for the greater good of the school. There is no such thing as ‘that’s not my job’ at Lynnfield!
This is a unique opportunity for career development, which is a non-teaching role in the first instance. We are part of an excellent Multi Academy Trust, which values networking, leadership development and on-the-ground support highly.

If this sounds like you, and a role that you would relish, please look carefully at the following materials and complete the application form. Please include with our application form a covering letter, detailing why you are the right person for this unique position (maximum words, 750).

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. The post is subject to a successful DBS clearance (certificate of disclosure form from the Disclosure and Barring Service) and pre-employment checks will be undertaken before an appointment is confirmed.

Further details are available from Sue Sharpe, Executive Headteacher. Please email SSharpe@lynnfield.lingfieldtrust.org.uk to arrange an informal discussion, or to arrange to visit the school to meet the children and staff team.

Application forms are available from the Lingfield Education Trust website

Please return completed applications directly to Sue Sharpe, either via the email address above, or post to: Lynnfield Primary School, Grosvenor Street, Hartlepool, TS26 8RL. Please mark the envelope ‘Lynnfield Deputy Headteacher Application’.
