Dots n Spots Day Nursery & Out of School Club is looking for a passionate, experienced and enthusiastic 2nd Deputy Manager to join our friendly management team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Room Leader, Deputy Room Leader or Early Years practitioner who is ready to develop their leadership skills and play an important role in the day-to-day running of our nursery.

About the Role
Working closely with the Nursery Manager and wider management team, you will help to ensure the smooth and effective running of the nursery.
You will:
Support the Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery
Provide positive leadership and support to our Early Years team
Lead by example and role model high-quality practice
Support Room Leaders and practitioners with their roles and responsibilities
Help to ensure the EYFS, safeguarding and nursery policies and procedures are consistently implemented
Monitor the quality of children's experiences, learning and development
Support staff with planning, observations and assessment
Carry out learning walks, room checks and other quality assurance activities
Support staff supervision, professional development and performance
Help to identify training and development needs within the team
Build positive and professional relationships with parents and carers
Support with parent queries and concerns
Work closely with the SENDCo and wider team to promote inclusive practice
Support safeguarding procedures and ensure concerns are appropriately followed up
Assist with staffing, deployment and the smooth running of the nursery
Support with inspections, audits and regulatory requirements
Deputise for the Nursery Manager when required
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
Qualified to Level 3 or above in Early Years/Childcare
Experienced in working within an Early Years setting
Ideally experienced in a Room Leader, Deputy Room Leader or leadership position
Confident in leading and supporting a team
Passionate about children's learning, development and wellbeing
Knowledgeable about the EYFS and safeguarding
Organised, reliable and able to prioritise effectively
A confident and positive communicator
Able to build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues
Calm and professional when dealing with challenges
Keen to learn, develop and support others to grow
Committed to providing inclusive, child-centred practice
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and wants to be part of a team where everyone plays a part in making a difference.
