Vocational Lead Teacher - Tees Valley

Can you turn practical learning into opportunities that help young people build confidence, discover their strengths and prepare for life beyond school?

OpenGate Education is looking for a creative, committed teacher to help shape the vocational offer at our new alternative provision.


In this role, you will:
 
  • Deliver engaging, hands-on learning to small groups and individual learners
  • Develop vocational pathways that connect practical skills with qualifications, employment and everyday life
  • Support young people with SEND, SEMH needs and other barriers to education
  • Work alongside the Head of Centre, supporting colleagues and site co-ordination
  • Build links with employers, colleges and partners to create meaningful next steps.

We’re looking for someone with a recognised teaching or coaching qualification, vocational expertise and experience of engaging young people who need a different approach to learning.


This is an opportunity to combine teaching with leadership and help shape a new provision from the beginning.
