Further Information
Help turn skills programmes into opportunities for the North East

We’re looking for a proactive and organised Programme Officer to join our Skills Programme and Delivery Team, supporting programmes that help create opportunities for people and communities across the North East.

The Role

You’ll help coordinate a varied portfolio of programmes, projects, contracts, stakeholder events and funding streams. Working alongside Programme Managers, Project Managers, and Relationship and Contract Managers, you’ll support project planning, maintain effective processes, analyse and present management information, and help coordinate stakeholder engagement and communications.?

You’ll also develop collaborative relationships with internal teams, local authorities, skills providers and community organisations, helping to ensure activity is well organised, effectively monitored and delivered to a high standard in support of the North East MSA’s corporate and strategic objectives.

About You

You’ll bring experience of supporting programmes or projects within the public sector, ideally in the adult skills sector. You’ll be comfortable managing competing priorities and deadlines, implementing monitoring tools, and communicating clearly with a diverse range of stakeholders. You’ll also be a confident administrator using a range Microsoft Office tools and able to take a proactive, adaptable and results-focused approach.

What it Isn’t

This isn’t a role where you’ll focus on just one project or work in isolation. You’ll balance several priorities, maintaining accurate systems for project information, work collaboratively with colleagues and partners to keep programmes and projects moving forward.?

So, if you...

...are highly organised, collaborative, with strong business support skills and motivated by the opportunity to support skills programmes that make a real difference across the region, we’d love to hear from you.

We are proud to be an inclusive employer, and we welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, communities and experiences. We support flexible working and encourage applications from candidates who are under-represented including women, disabled people, LGBTQ+ people and those from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds.

Closing date for applications: 22 November 2026 at 23:59
