There is an exciting opportunity to contribute to improving Public Health outcomes for Darlington. The specialist Public Health team is looking for Public Health Portfolio Lead to develop and lead programmes to reduce health inequalities and promote health and wellbeing.

Join the specialist Public Health team in Darlington Borough Council and use your expertise to be responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring and leading key public health programmes to reduce health inequalities and improve health and wellbeing in Darlington. You will play a key role in supporting the Director of Public Health to ensure the widest possible participation in the public health agenda though forging partnerships with and influencing key stakeholders to promote and deliver improved Public Health outcomes for communities in Darlington.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of working on public health issues and will support the Director of Public Health through your work with partners in the Council, the NHS, third sector and independent sector. Drawing upon your knowledge, you will provide specialist support and public health advice for partners within, and outside the Council.
