Durham County Council have an exciting vision for transforming how they use their data assets.
 
The vision is being made a reality through a significant investment in an enterprise-wide data infrastructure built on the Microsoft Azure platform.
 
They're also reviewing their organisational structures, bringing people from across the organisation together into a single team, that will deliver a centre of excellence for data science across the Council and in partnership with others.
 
Essential to their new approach is investing in the dedicated skills and capacity to structure their corporate data assets. They're building a new team of data engineers with the capability to do this.
