Newcastle City Learning is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and innovative Learning Support Assistant taking the role of a Job Coach to complement and develop the delivery of our provision for people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.

You will have experience of supporting adults and young people to develop skills and experience within the workplace. You should also have experience of working alongside other professionals/agencies to ensure that maximum progress for the learners is achieved within their chosen career pathways.

You will need to have the skills to stretch and challenge learners to develop aspirations and goals. This post requires you to be able to prioritise and organise your time in addition to working alongside employers to ensure positive relationships and the development of the service. You could also be expected to support daytime and /or evening classes at Westgate College and other venues.

At the interview stage, you will be expected to demonstrate effective communication skills and a good knowledge of systematic instruction.
