Fixed term, for two terms, from 1 January 2019 to 31 August 2019.

The Governors of Archbishop Runcie Church of England First School wish to appoint a Class Teacher for Nursery (full NQT support can be provided if appropriate).

It is an exciting opportunity to work as part of our Early Years team who will further advance our nursery provision. It will be an opportunity to play a full part in the further development of our school vision for all our children to become confident, secure, caring individuals who flourish through our creative and inspirational curriculum.

We are a caring and welcoming church school with happy, well behaved, and highly motivated children. We have high expectations of ourselves and the children. Parents are highly supportive of the school. The school is being supported by Newcastle East mixed multi Academy Trust. This post is suitable for either experienced or newly qualified teachers.

The successful candidate will:
* ideally have experience of EYFS and KS1
* be innovative, creative and imaginative
* have a passion for creating an exciting learning environment
* have successful, recent experience of planning, teaching and assessing
* work positively with parents and families
* be willing to participate in all aspects of school life
* have high expectations of children's achievements and behaviour
* be flexible and work collaboratively and successfully as a team member.

There is an opportunity to visit our school prior to interview at 2pm on Monday 3 December.

The application process will involve an observation, task and an interview.

Shortlisted applicants will be required for the full day on Wednesday 12 December and interviews will be held on Thursday 13 December. The successful applicant will need to work (paid) during the last week of term to ensure a comprehensive and nurturing handover of responsibilities for the benefit of our children.
