We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self motivated Depot Attendant.

You will be based at the Meadowfield Depot but you could work from other Durham County Council Depots - Chilton, Morrison Busty Annfield Plain and Hackworth Road Peterlee.

This is a multi functional role, ensuring the Depot is cleansed / inspected / maintained for the safety of staff /visitors.

Provide support to Vehicle Workshops / Fleet Services.

The post holder will be expected to drive/operate a wide range of vehicles and equipment including vans, HGV vehicles (subject to holding appropriate licence category) and specialist vehicles / plant / equipment.

The hours of work are:
Monday to Thursday 08.00 to 16.00 hours and
Friday 08.00 to 15.30 hours
However, there may be occasions when these hours could change to meet the service needs.

Required Qualifications:
Holds a Current Cat B Drivers Licence

Due to the requirement to drive a County Council vehicle in this role, appointment will be subject to the production of a valid driving licence for the required category of vehicle and the satisfactory completion of an in-house Driver Induction Assessment.
