South Tyneside Educational Psychology Service is a friendly, highly supportive and nurturing team of educational psychologists, specialist teachers and emotional resilience officers. The Service is very well regarded by its users, as is evident from the consistently excellent feedback it receives. It maintains highly positive working relationships with schools, other professionals and the Local Authority. There are opportunities to engage in a wide variety of work, including training, therapeutic work, systemic work and research, using a range of different psychological tools and methods.

We are an expanding team and we are seeking educational psychologists who are energetic and enthusiastic. We are currently working closely with our specialist teachers and emotional resilience officers to develop new and innovative ways of working with our schools. You will have a patch of schools and the opportunity for protected time (half day per week) to work within a specialist area, with the potential to progress to work as a Senior Practitioner Educational Psychologist. We are supportive of the development of a range of different specialisms.

The post is open to applicants interested in job-share. We welcome applications from qualified Educational Psychologists and from those who are in their final year of professional training or who are completing their training in 2019. The post is subject to registration as a qualified Educational Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council.
