Two exciting vacancies have arisen for forward thinking, enthusiastic and skilled Senior Auditors within our modern shared Internal Audit and Risk Management team. Our service delivers a wide range of assurance services jointly to Northumberland County Council and North Tyneside Council.

CCAB or IIA qualified / part qualified, you will be an enthusiastic and capable self-starter. You will have a sound audit background, preferably in a local government environment, and perform complex audit work to a high standard. A good understanding of current audit best practice is essential. You will have experience at a supervisory level and you should relish a varied workload and the responsibility that these posts will bring.

You will be computer literate, and should have a good understanding of current issues facing local government. An excellent communicator with excellent written business English, you will be self-motivated, demonstrate initiative, tact and diplomacy and be able to work as part of a team.
