We are seeking to appoint a self- motivated and knowledgeable SEND Officer to join the local authority’s Statutory SEND Team.

The post holder will be responsible for the statutory assessment and review of the Education, Health and Care needs of children and young people with SEND, in accordance with the SEND Code of Practice 2015. You will have valuable skills in interpreting and analysing information and evidence in order to prepare comprehensive reports and write legally binding Education, Health and Care Plans.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have the ability to develop and maintain close working relationships with education settings, parents/carers, children and young people and various agencies.
Working as part of a team, you will be self-motivated and have the ability to prioritise your own workload to meet required timescales and performance indicators, alongside having a flexible approach in order to respond to urgent situations.
