An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a full time, permanent Homefinder Housing Options Officer within the Empty Homes Team, which is part of the wider Housing Options Service. We are looking to appoint someone who is dedicated, flexible and enthusiastic and is committed to delivering an excellent service.
The role plays an important part in the assessment and pre-allocation checks of applicants applying for housing and to ensure the timely advertising of the Council’s available homes. The successful applicant will carry out shortlisting and relevant checks on housing applications and let vacant homes in line with the Councils Letting’s Policy. You will ensure all processes and lettings are carried out within set timescales.
You will have experience of delivering an excellent customer service, with strong communication skills, good negotiation skills and a proven track record of meeting targets.
You will have experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines and be performance driven to ensure the team’s performance targets are met. Housing experience is preferred.
