An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in Health and Social Care to join our ambitious team at Sunderland College, who have recently been recognised as the top college nationally and awarded the prestigious BTEC College of the Year by Pearson. We are looking for someone who has a passion for Health and Care who can use this energy to inspire learners to have lifelong careers in this key sector.

We are particularly interested in innovative and creative practitioners who have experience at teaching levels 2 and 3 to 16-19 year olds and have an in-depth understanding of the care sector through either previous employment or regular professional industry updating. You will be a key member of a collaborative team that focusses on providing excellent learner experiences through the quality of our teaching, learning and assessment.

This is an exciting time for the Health and Care team. Following significant investment in resources last academic year (including our impressive health hub) we are also delighted to be one of the colleges selected to launch the pilot T level in Health and Science, along with the significant associated benefits to our staff, students and partner employers.

Applicants should have an appropriate degree and teaching qualification, together with experience of internal quality assurance processes. Within the personal statement, practical examples of how you fulfil the person specification and examples of your teaching practice should be included.
