The Adults & Communities Directorate, consists of three strands, Adult Social Care, Community Development, and Public Health. We are seeking a highly-experienced individual with an excellent understanding of Mental Health and Social Care and partnership working to join us in the management of our current social care services within adult mental health. The successful applicant needs to be an experienced Social Worker and a practising AMHP and will manage a team of AMHP’s, Social Workers, Social Care Officers and administrative support.

The team provides a comprehensive, specialist social work service to users of the Adult’s Mental Health services and their families as part of our continuing collaborative working with our mental health partners in Tees, Esk and Wear Valley Foundation Trust. The team is based at Foxrush, Kirkleatham, Redcar and works closely alongside Psychiatric, Nursing and Occupational Therapy colleagues from TEWV Mental Health Trust.

The successful applicant will already have a track record of achievement in adult social care, supervisory experience, excellent communication skills and the ability to forge effective working relationships with peers, health professionals and colleagues from the voluntary and independent sectors.
