We require a Support and Progression Manager to provide line management to staff providing housing related support to vulnerable people on a one to one basis. This includes providing practical support to set up and sustain a tenancy, help with access to welfare benefits, assistance with debt issues, helping customers to maintain independent living, becoming a successful part of their community and looking at future aspirations. You will ensure customers are safe by adhering to safeguarding procedures, relevant legislation and policies, taking a multi-agency approach.

You will be an effective leader with extensive experience of delivering support services to vulnerable customers. You need to be able motivate staff to deliver excellent, customer focused services. You will be the kind of person who looks for continual opportunities to deliver improvements and create innovative services. You will show emotional intelligence in dealing with the needs of customers and your staff. Passionate about working with vulnerable customers to improve their lives. Have good IT skills and be diplomatic, assertive and credible and able to work collaboratively with a wide range of groups to achieve best practice outcomes for customers. You will also need the ability to deal with conflict effectively and bring problems to a satisfactory conclusion. We work flexibly across the City, which includes carrying out home visits.
