The Head Teacher and Governors wish to appoint a School Caretaker. We are looking for a School Caretaker who is friendly, approachable and hard working.

The successful candidate will show:
• Reliability and organisation;
• A flexible and adaptable approach;
• A hard working ‘can do’ approach;
• Positive attitude towards all tasks within the job role;
• Practical handyperson skills;
• Good communication skills;
• A sense of humour and willingness to work as part of a team

This position is whole time which means that you will be in attendance at work all year round (52 weeks a year) and will have an annual leave entitlement (26 days if you have less than 5 years’ continuous local government service, 31 days if you have in excess of 5 years’ continuous local government service.) You will also be required to work ‘split shifts’ to coincide with the beginning and end of the school day.

Where our roles are customer facing and you are required to speak to members of the public, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post
